A sport club is a group of students, that voluntarily organize to participate in a particular sport activity. More specifically, a Sport Club is a supported registered student organization that regularly practices and competes in sanctioned athletic contests against other University club teams regionally and nationally. Other features of the Sport Club Program that make it unique are: self-motivation, self-administration, self-support, and self-regulation. All these factors form the basis for determining recognition, which must be granted by Recreational Services.

All Sport Club members that use Recreational Services indoor facilities for practices need to have a Recreational Services Membership or pay the daily walk-in fee to attend their sports club's practice.

Fall 2024 Sport Club Allocation Board Budget Hearings 

Each club that would like to request funding from the Sport Club Allocations Board must present their proposed budget during one of the following budget hearings. Presentations are no longer than 15 minutes, information on how to signup for a presentation day/time will be communicated by their club’s Assistant Director. 

  • Monday, September 9, 2024 - 5:00-10:00 p.m. - E220 Field House 

  • Tuesday, September 10, 2024 - 5:00-10:00 p.m. - E220 Field House 

Fall 2024 Sport Club Advisory Council meetings

Each active club's President and/or Vice President must attend each Sport Club Advisory Council Meeting. The dates and times are:

  • Wednesday, September 18, 2024 - 6:00-7:00 p.m. - E220 Field House
    • Safety Officer Meeting - At least one Safety Officer must attend 
  • Wednesday, October 16, 2024 - 6:00-7:00 p.m. - E220 Field House
    • Sport Club Advisory Council - Either the President or Vice President must attend
  • Wednesday, November 20, 2024 - 6:00-7:00 p.m. - E220 Field House
    • Sport Club Advisory Council - Either the President or Vice President must attend
