Bio:
I grew up in the Iowa City area and am an alumna of the University of Iowa. I graduated with a B.S. in Human Physiology and a minor in dance. I had a very active childhood, playing a number of sports throughout my younger years, which grew my love for movement, especially in kids. I believe that having an active lifestyle is a cornerstone to fully enjoying life.
I enjoy creating programs for clients that they truly enjoy, no matter what their goal may be or where they may be on their fitness journey. I like to help my clients with functional movement, strength training, general training, and working with young athletes. I enjoy the community I have found in the Personal Training at the University of Iowa, where each trainer cares not only for their colleauges, but deeply cares for the wellbeing of their clients. I feel it is a space where every day brings the opportunity to learn from my peers.
Philosophy:
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear; the brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.
