Event Information: This event will be the second event of the 2024-2025 Intramural Sports Friday Night Series. The Friday Night Series is a series of late night events put on by the Intramural Sports program. There will be FREE pizza, prizes given away, and participation is FREE! You can participate in one Friday Night Series event, or you can participate in all of them. ... it's all up to you!
Registration Information: Pre-Registration for Friday Night Series Basketball Night 3v3 Basketball begins on Monday, Aug. 19 at 8 a.m. During Pre-Registration, captains can start their teams, and begin sending invitations to teammates to build the roster. Once official registration opens on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8 a.m., you can move your team to the "Tournament" division, once you have three players on your roster. Moving your team to the "Tournament" division just confirms that you plan to be there! Registration closes on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11:59 p.m. Instructions on how to start a team, or how to join a team, can be found on our IMLeagues Registration Instructions page.
Event Date and Time: Friday, Oct. 18 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Field House South Gym. The event will last approximately three hours. Schedules for registered 3v3 Basketball teams will be sent on Friday, Oct. 18, following the registration deadline.
Event Format: Friday Night Series Basketball Night will have two different events in which you can participate; 3v3 Basketball and Free Throw Contest! To participate in 3v3 Basketball, registration is required before the event. For Free Throw Contest, no pre-registration is required; you can register and participate on-site! Champions will be crowned for the 3v3 Basketball Tournament and Free Throw Contest!
3v3 Basketball — Advance Registration Required - Teams will be scheduled for at least 2 pool play games, the top half of teams from each pool will advance to a single elimination bracket.
Free Throw Contest — No advance registration required. Participants will shoot 25 free throws. Each made free throw is worth one point. The person who makes the most free throws out of 25 will be declared the winner!
Leagues Available: "Open" is the only league available for the Friday Night Series Basketball Night. An "Open" league means there are no gender requirements for teams or participation.
Intramural Membership: No Intramural Sports membership is required for this event.
